Dylan’s practice areas are diverse and include personal injury, general civil litigation, estate planning and probate, real estate, business law and formation, and transactional work.
Education & Activities
Dylan received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration from the University of South Dakota in 2015. Throughout his undergraduate education, and during law school, Dylan worked in corrections. Dylan received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of South Dakota in the spring of 2022 and was admitted to practice law in South Dakota in the fall of 2022. During law school, he worked as a summer intern for another South Dakota law firm, the South Dakota Unified Judicial System (UJS) in Pierre, and as a faculty law professor’s graduate assistant. Dylan was a member of the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law Trial Team and competed in three competitions in both national and international trial competitions. Dylan won an Outstanding Advocate Award at the 2022 South Texas Mock Trial Challenge, where over 160 of our nation’s brightest advocates competed. Dylan has also helped many veterans and other disadvantaged individuals through his commitment to community service through the Veteran’s Legal Education Group, the WORKS Divorce Clinic, and South Dakota’s Low Income Tax Clinic.
Dylan is originally from the Vermillion area but has transitioned to the Yankton community and is passionate about making it the best place to live. Dylan and his wife, Nicole, have been married since 2019. Nicole helps the community while working at the Yankton Medical Clinic. They live in Yankton with their Australian Shepard, Asher, and enjoy being at the lake, hiking, fishing, and at home or hanging with friends and family.
