Chris is the newest and youngest attorney at the firm. His practice areas are diverse and include civil litigation, estate planning and probate, and transactional work. He espouses a collaborative approach to practicing law, seeks to understand each client’s goals, and works for the best result for each client.
Education and Activities
A South Dakota native, Chris grew up splitting his time between Sioux Falls and Yankton. Through college, Chris worked as a line cook and a landscaper, and he graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University in 2015. Then, Chris began his studies at the Gonzaga University School of Law that same year. During law school, Chris worked as a summer intern at Marlow, Woodward, & Huff and, during his second and third year, worked in Gonzaga’s Federal Indian Law and General Practice legal clinic. At the clinic, Chris represented low-income clients in diverse matters—including criminal proceedings, family law issues, civil litigation, and non-profit business issues.

He was admitted to the Kalispel Tribal Court and appeared in court on his clients’ behalves multiple times. Chris graduated magna cum laude from law school in 2018. After law school, Chris returned to Marlow, Woodward, & Huff as a full-time associate attorney licensed to practice in South Dakota and in the United States District Courts in South Dakota.
Chris lives in Yankton with his better half, Bianca, an occupational therapist in Yankton and the surrounding area. When they aren’t working, Chris and Bianca enjoy exercising, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
